iOS category not on desktop 1Password?

<div class="IPBDescription">Question</div>I'm running 1P 3.6.5 on my desktop & 1P Pro on my iPhone4. On the phone, on the "More" page there's a list that reads "Passwords, Software, Add, Settings, Folders." I've found all the corresponding features on my desktop, EXCEPT "Passwords," which is empty on the phone. Needless to say, I've got tons of passwords stored in my "Logins" & "Accounts." So I don't know why the "Passwords" menu is empty on the phone, what it's purpose is, &/ or whether it's something that can be synced to non-iOS versions of 1P. Couldn't find an answer in the desktop or iPhone User Guides. Can someone enlighten me?

Absolutely, califgrll! Welcome to the forums!

The "Passwords" category in 1Password for iPhone (it is not present in our iPad app currently) corresponds to Generated Passwords in the desktop version of 1Password (you can enable it in Preferences > General > Show in Sidebar). This isn't meant to list all of your passwords for various item types; instead, it is a repository for the random passwords created by the Strong Password Generator feature that is used primarily in desktop web browsers when creating or updating Login items.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Sort of tangental to the OP's question:

I get that Passwords on the iPhone is Generated Passwords on the Mac. But where is it on the iPad? I just synced and confirmed that my new password arrived on my iPhone, but then couldn't even find the Password category on the iPad. There's more space on the iPad's screen so I wouldn't expect it to be hidden, but you never know...

Unfortunately we don't have this feature in our iPad version yet, although we would like to add it in the future. You can generate a password by creating a new Accounts item, but this is far from convenient. Hopefully we can implement this is a future version. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
