More 1P Safari strangeness
In Safari this URL - http://agilebits.com/extension/lock/safari - keeps opening in a new page every now and then. Is this anything to do with me having gone from Safari 5.1 back to 5.0.5 and, since it seems to be a series of beta versions, disabled the 1P extension for the moment? Did I need to go back a version of 1P as well?
Edit: Still does it when the browser extension is enabled.

Hello Angus,
Would you please provide some additional details regarding your experience? I have not seen this behavior with 5.1, and any steps you can give us to replicate the behavior would be helpful.
Thanks.

Hi Angus, are you on Snow Leopard or Lion?
If you went back to Safari 5.0.5, please uninstall the 1Password extension, it is not supported in Safari 5.0.5, only in Safari 5.1. The link you saw is the result of the Safari 5.1 extension trying to lock itself.

Open Safari, go to its Preferences > Extensions and press the uninstall button for 1Password extension, now close Safari
Open 1Password and go to the 1Password Menu > Preferences > Browsers
Press “Remove all extensions” and then press “Install all extensions”, this will install the regular Safari 5.0.5 extension back into Safari
I hope that helps. Please let me know.

Hi Mike. Yes, I'm on Snow Leopard. I'd figured that simply disabling the extension would be alright but if it needs to be removed completely I'll try that and report back.
Edit: That seems to have worked. Usually it would have done it by now but no extra tab has appeared. Thanks very much, I'll let you get back to trying to clear up the mess Apple made by dropping 5.1 on you <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />Flag 0
