unable to log in on sites

My wife has a MacBook with 10.6.8 I have a MacBook Pro with 10.6.8 We share our 1Password Keychain via DropBox.



Here computer won't let her log into a given web site, but I can. We are both clicking the link inside of 1Password on our respective computers. I've logged in (using Safari), logged out, quit my browser.



She clicks on the same link in 1PW and tries to login and get's an access denied from the site she's trying to access in Safari. That same site on her computer she is able to login in FireFox.



We've emptied the cache in Safari, restarted it and same thing.



Also in Safari, she will type in a local newspapers web site and it always redirects to their mobile site. I've deleted the entire browsing history on that computer and it still goes to the mobile site.



I did a Reset of Safari and now both sites now work. My question is was something compromising her computer (Mac's don't get viruses, right?) and even with 1PW having passwords re-directed? Or something less sinister? She's running 3.6.1 (build 31057)



I'm also going in and changing the passwords on my computer for future logins for those recent sites.

    I don't know of any malware in the wild right now [url="http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4650"]that isn't being blocked by Apple's latest updates[/url]. I'm sure that is not the culprit. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />



    You didn't say what version of Safari you were using, but if you are up to date, that means you are using Safari 5.1. It is possible that the new Safari extension database became out of sync with the main application. You can resolve this in the future by simply reinstalling the extension. Please be sure you are up to date with 1Password as well, though. We just pushed out version 3.7.0.
