1Password 3.7.0 + safari 3.7.b2 plugin
<div class="IPBDescription">keyboard shortcut doesn't work</div>I just got the latest beta update (3.7.0.BETA-2 Build 31079) and re-installed the Safari 5.1 plugin. Now the keyboard shortcut Cmd-\ does not do anything. I've always used the default, and it worked yesterday with the previous beta. Any ideas?
Edit: Should point out I'm on OS 10.6.8 v1.1.
Thanks,
Pete K.

Have you got the latest plugin version? Safari's auto-updating feature is crap so sometimes (or every time in my case) you have to do it manually. Open up your Preferences > Extensions > Updates > Uncheck the auto-update function and see if any updates appear. If they do, install them. I don't know why it doesn't work sometimes but it does it for me with every extension so I've come not to trust it.Flag 0

Hi Pete.
I just wanted to clarify that the current Safari extension should be 3.7.b1.
After upgrading, it sometimes helps to do a clean restart of Safari by using CMD-Option-Q. This will close all your open windows and tabs (and not restore them), as well as clear some Extension cache files.
I hope that helps. Please let us know how it turns out.Flag 0 -
I'm experiencing the same issues, and few other wonky ones too <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
System Version: Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549)
Safari Version: 5.1 (6534.50)
1Password Version: 3.7.0.BETA-2 (build 31079)
1P Safari Extension Version: 3.7.b1
It's a beta so I'm never really concerned, simply reporting. If you need me to test any special builds shoot me an e-mail.Flag 0 -

Thanks for the report, F451.
Did you try the CMD+Option+Q trick? If so, could you try opening 1Password and selecting the Help > Trouble Shooting > Restart Agent menu and then try again?Flag 0 -

I've tried every trick in the book! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> I've tried to enter a shortcut key sequence, but officially the main app's preferences hates me (see evidence in pic below). Cannot enter shortcut for either Fill Login or Go & Fill.

Oh wow! This is new <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, please try removing the existing shortcuts and see if that helps. First, quit 1Password and then go to Terminal and run these commands:
defaults remove ws.agile.1Password "ShortcutRecorder bookmarks"
defaults remove ws.agile.1Password "ShortcutRecorder restoreForm"
That should restore them to their defaults.

Interesting as I received this when entered:
There is no (ShortcutRecorder bookmarks) default for the (ws.agile.1Password) domain.
Defaults have not been changed.
There is no (ShortcutRecorder restoreForm) default for the (ws.agile.1Password) domain.
Defaults have not been changed.
Only 1,000 e-mails? NNTR to mine...it's more for your reading entertainment when you have time to get bored, LOL.Flag 0 -

That is very weird. Hopefully we can spot something in the Diagnostics Report.Flag 0 -
Have tried simply moving 1Password's preference file to your desktop (for safekeeping rather than just trashing it)?
Please quitting 1Password and then move this file to your desktop:
/Users/youraccount/Library/Preferences/ws.agile.1Password.plist
That will reset all your settings in 1Password including the keyboard shortcuts.Flag 0 -

Tried...failed. Same symptoms remain. Sorry.Flag 0 -
the Safari plugin 3.7.b2 in 1Password 3.7.0 (build 31083) disabled my keyboard shortcut again.
The plugin also requires me 1st to launch and open 1Password application after boot-up before the plugin does anything, happens also after each restart.

I'm sorry to inform that me (on MacBook Pro, Lion, 1Password 3.7.0.BETA-3, extension 3.7.b2) and my girlfriend (on old MacBook, Lion, 1Password 3.7.0.BETA-3, extension 3.7.b2) have the same symptoms - no keyboard shortcut. Turning on access for assistive devices doesn't help either.Flag 0
