What happened to my 1Password?!?
<div class="IPBDescription">Is there anyway to go back?</div>Right now I'm really wishing I never installed Safari 5 because it meant updating to a newer version of 1Password. This newer version $UCKS!
Right clicking was so convenient. No I have to manually copy and paste from 1Password because the shortcut commands are inconsistent and lame. I also have pop down requests in safari asking if I'm adding a new password to 1Password. Um, why would it ask to re enter a password and site I already have.
Can I use time machine to uninstall Safari 5 and go back to the old 1Password? That would rock.
I guess I can be tankful I haven't upgraded to LION yet. Early adopters are either voluntary guinea pigs, or fools.

Sorry for the trouble here, Gravesend.
Could you please try the new Beta release (3.7.1.BETA-2) and see if it fixes the problems? You can do this by going to the 1Password > Preferences window, selecting the Update panel, enable the "Include Beta versions" checkbox, and then click Check Now. Once the update is installed, try again and see if it helps.
We have just released some very major updates, and I think you will appreciate them. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
Please let me know if you are still having trouble.Flag 0 -

I'm having exactly the same problem as Gravesend..and using the newer Beta version makes no difference.
The upgrade is a disaster and I've gone from having a great app to a pretty useless one.
Can you guys at Agile sort this out ASAP please?

Ooops!! Sorry. I see how it works now...I still don't think it's as good as before, but at least it's functioning

Yay, progress! Thank you for posting an update here. =) We know that the changes are drastic, and we know that we can't please everyone all the time: some folks love it, some folks hate it. Thankfully, with the major improvements we've made over the past two weeks, even folks who initially hated it have come to like (and in some cases, love) the new extension. We plan to keep improving its usability and functionality and hopefully do things in the future that weren't even possible before. Thanks for hanging in there with us. =)Flag 0 -
It's beyond me why Agile would do away with right-click filling. For me it almost makes the app unnecessary. I understand you can't please everyone, but is there anyone who *didn't* like that ability to do this?!
I've tried the beta updates and still don't see nearly the functionality of previous versions. This just baffles me.Flag 0 -
ecpix,
It's not so much a case of no-one liking this feature, it's more an issue of limitations with the new frameworks we're using. We are hoping to bring back right-click filling for your Logins in an update, we love this feature too and I know our developers are working on this as we speak,
I guess the best way to look at the new extensions is as brand new versions of our browser integration, which is very much the case as we've effectively started over to support Safari 5.1 and Firefox 6 using new frameworks, which in the case of Safari 5.1 were are requirement to provide any form of 1Password integration.Flag 0 -
What the heck, guys! Just put in the latest update Version 3.8.3.BETA-2
and........... Don't even have a 1P in the toolbar nor can I get it.
Previously today, my Schwab site https://client.schwab.com/Login/SignOn/CustomerCenterLogin.aspx?&kc=y&sim=y
won't take / can't find a password.

Bill,
The key fact you didn't mention is which browser you're trying to use with 1Password right now?Flag 0 -
I have to agree. 1 Pasword was one of the best, most efficient apps that I had. Now wo the right click, it's kinda useless. I have to log in every time I want to use the right click command that is available and then I get an error message and have to restart safari. Is there a process to roll back to a previous version until you get this one sorted out?
Like the app, really don't like the update.Flag 0 -
Sorry old Buddy, Safari 5.1Flag 0

Please, pretty please, can I have my 1P icon back in my Toolbar? Safari 5.1 with latest update Version 3.8.3.BETA-2
Comment: When you rely on a system as critical as 1P it's like going cold turkey off of heavy drugs. (Not that I would know about that. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';-)' />Flag 0 -
Bill,
Hmmm, I've heard rumours of 1Password addiction before, but this confirms it <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
What you're describing sounds like you have the latest version of 1Password but not the Safari extension itself. Can you go to Safari > Preferences > Extensions and tell me if you see 1Password listed, if you do which version number do you have?
If you don't then don't worry, you can install the latest version, stable or beta whichever you'd prefer, and you should be up and running.
Let me know how it turns out,Flag 0 -

All I can say as a long time fan to 1Password is that you guys are blowing it. The new update is a disaster. You guys seem out of touch with what your customers want. I am sadly seeking a alternative.Flag 0 -
All is well. BTW, the Instruction Manual is well done. Gold Star on that one, guys (and gals?)Flag 0

I'm sorry to hear you feel that way, George. We're very much listening to everyone's feedback and carefully evaluating which features we can and can't implement within thew new extensions framework.
To that effect we've just released new Beta versions of our extensions for Safari and Chrome (Firefox users will be getting the same love too, we're just working with the frameworks there to get this right) that bring contextual menu support for filling the Logins for the site you're on, which is great for those pop-up windows like so:

We're by means done with adding new features, improving functionality and generally giving our users the best experience we can. This has been a big transition for all involved, we're effectively redoing the last 5 years of work in a few months to make sure 1Password can work with modern browser extension frameworks, if we didn't do this we'd be stuck with old technology that could be, and in some cases has already been, removed from the browsers.

That's great news, Bill, I'm glad the user-guide helped get you up and running <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />Flag 0
