Neither the app nor the Chrome extension stay unlocked for any usable length of time
I'm on Lion, and running 1Password 3.6.5 build 31075.
The Chrome extension only stays unlocked long enough for me to select one login, and sometimes not even that long. The app never stays unlocked long enough for me to do anything with it, which renders it unusable. It only started doing this after I upgrade to Lion. I've set the autolock amount to some large number (hundreds of thousands) so that appears to have no effect.
What gives? Can I debug this myself?

Welcome to the forums, jjthrash. I'm sorry that you are having this problem.
We recently made some great updates with regard to Universal Unlock.
Could you please try the new Beta release (3.7.1.BETA-2) and see if it fixes this problem? You can do this by going to the 1Password > Preferences window, selecting the Update panel, enable the "Include Beta versions" checkbox, and then click Check Now. Once the update is installed, try again and see if it helps.
There is also a known issue with Air Display and some other applications causing this excessive locking problem. I'm not sure if either was updated to fix this or not, but you might try uninstalling Air Display or DisplayPad if you use either one to see if it helps.Flag 0 -

Thanks Khad. I installed the beta and still had the problem. Then I uninstalled Air Display and sure enough, it seems to be working again.
Thanks! It's a shame, since both tools are part of my workflow. 1P is a lot more important, though. Is a fix in the works?

I don't believe the issues with Air Display and DisplayPad are unique to 1Password. I had issues using them on Lion in general. I think we are waiting on updates from them.Flag 0
