IPod Touch dies (how to recover data)

<div class="IPBDescription">iPod Touch recovery</div>Hi,

my Ipod Touch died just 2 days ago. The thing is that I never synched the data from 1password with any app for MAC or Windows.

Is there any way to recover my passwords?

Thanks,

Ronald.

If you have iTunes backups you might get lucky:

If you do, read about backing up your 1Password data in the FAQ.

While you may be able to get your 1Password data back from a iTunes backup, this is hit or miss. The best thing to do in the future (if you haven't already been doing so) is to back up your data using 1Password and your computer. Just launch 1Password on your iPod and go to Settings > Database > Backup & Restore and follow the instructions to navigate to the address provided using the web browser on your computer to save the .1ptbackup file. You can restore from there, too if you have already saved one.

Just to clarify, 1Password data is stored in the app's secure storage, so it technically shouldn't be backed up by iTunes at all (or be readable by other devices). But iTunes isn't an exact science, so you may get lucky.

I really hope you are able to recover your data. Please let us know how it turns out.
