General 1Password Failure

<div class="IPBDescription">General problems with 1Password after a Apple Lion Update.</div>I have been using 1Password for sometime now running OS/X Snow Leopard. Since I've upgraded to OS/X Lion, 1Password has come to it's knees. In most cases there's a 50/50 change the login information will work. Even worse I'm asked to repeatidly to enter my password when going to a site. Yes, I click on the site I want to go, then I'm asked again to enter my password. What was once a product that stood tall is now nothing more than taking up space on my hard drive. Help!!
Hi MNLV2FLY, welcome to the forums!

I”m sorry about the issues you’re having. Please make sure you’re all updated for both the 1Password app and the extension for the Safari 5.1, we made a lot of major improvements in the last few days. Please follow the instruction here to update.

I hope that helps. If there are any specific issues that are not resolved, please let us know.
  • Thank you Mike for your response. Unfortunately, I do have the latest extensions 3.7.b2 installed along with all available updates from Apple. At this point 1Password works about 25% of the time. Question, once I select a website from within 1Password why am I prompted to enter the master password again?

We try to fix all reported problems as soon as possible.

The latest version of the Safari extension is currently 3.7b9. Please use Safari > Preferences > Extensions > Updates to install the new version (1Password application cannot do this anymore).

Also, we published 1Password 3.7.1 a few minutes ago.
  • Well, would love to say things work, are better or even slightly better. Even with the updates to 3.7.1. and 3.7b9, this product is no longer ready for prime time. Whatever happened and whom ever is responsibile it's a shame that 1Password has become so unstable and unpredictable. If I could find another product that is as good as 1Password once was I'd switch in a heartbeat.

You may be experiencing the Apple bug in Lion related the the screensaver. For many, every few seconds the screensaver "activates", but the screen doesn't always shut down.

Try opening the 1Password > Preferences > Security window and disable The Autolock on screensaver.

Please let us know how it turns out.
  • Now running 1Password Version 3.7.2 (build 31099) and Safari Extensions Version 3.7.b10.... Flawless!!! 1Password appears to be back up and running on my Macbook. Not having 1Password is like not having electricity..... Painful!! Thanks!!
