Licence 1PASSWORD

<div class="IPBDescription">For several Mac ?</div>Hello !

I buy 1PW license for Mac and i'd like to know if it is possible to use it for several machines. Actually I use 1PW on a Macbook. In a month I will probably buy an iMac. Can I use the same license to install the software on my new machine ?

PS : 1PW and Safari new updates have induced many bugs, related in the forum. In my own case auto-login does not works ... (see infra post)

Maybe can I uninstall and then re-install the program after doing a backup of the database. Do you think it's possible using my license key ?

Cordially

We license 1Password to you on a per-person / per-platform basis, and so as long as you're the only person using 1Password you can install it on as many Macs as you own with just a single-user license.

If you're wanting to use 1Password on both systems and keep your data in sync then we'd highly recommend using the free Dropbox service to sync your 1Password data as we describe here.

It sounds like you may be running a slightly out of date of 1Password and the new extension as we've been working hard to fix a number of issues that we've discovered and have been reported by users like yourself. As such we released an update yesterday that should help get you up and running.

To get this new update please go to 1Password > Check for Updates from within 1Password which should prompt you to download the latest version, currently 3.7.1 at the time of writing.

Once that's done, please update the Safari extension to the latest version by performing a manual update within Safari > Preferences > Extensions as we detail at the bottom of this guide:

    http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/safari_5.1_install_update.html

With some of the new changes in the update, there are few extra steps to follow. First of all, please go to Help > Troubleshooting > Restart Agent within 1Password and finally restart safari with Command-Option-Q to ensure the extension is properly reloaded.

    Hope that helps,

    Hey Agile Crusader,

Thank you for so nice informations concerning 1PW license, available on several machines.

I also have a very good new : after the latest beta update 1PW Safari Extension finally works (Version 5.1 (6534.50) of Safari) : it fills perfectly usernames and passwords on webpages.

Thank you very much for your help and your reactivity.

    Best regards
