I am trying to backup files to an external hard drive (seagate black armor) from my new mac laptop (osx snow lepard). Aome file will not copy. I get the message "The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items.". I have no restrictions on these files. Although some files copy just fine others dont. Any ideas/fixes appreciated.

thanks

Quinn

Even if you do not set permission yourself, files do come with its own permissions that you need to fix in order to move them.

    1) Try to do repair permissions in Disk Utility

    2) "Sudo mv -iv" in terminal those files to the external drive

This isn't really a general tech support for Mac users, just for 1PW and other Agile softwares. You'll find better help elsewhere, try macrumors, Apple forums, or just general google search.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
