mutating 1 password

Snow Leopard 10.6.8 safari 5.1 1password from browser toolbar first looked like (attachment 1), and then mutated to (attachment 2). I uninstalled and reinstalled and its back to attachment 1 style. Is this a "feature"? If so how does one toggle back and forth between them. If it is not, is this a beta issue (gamma issue)?

  • Hi breyerrm,

This is very strange, attachment 2 is the latest interface for the extension as we detail here:

    http://blog.agilebits.com/2011/07/its-here/

This should be what you're seeing providing you have the latest update to 1Password. So with that said, let's make sure you're up to date and get the extension updated too. To get this new update please go to 1Password > Preferences > Updates and check 'Include Beta Versions' and then click 'Check Now' to get our latest update.

Once that's done, please update the Safari extension to the latest version by performing a manual update within Safari > Preferences > Extensions as we detail at the bottom of this guide:

    http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/safari_5.1_install_update.html

With some of the new changes in the update, there are few extra steps to follow. First of all, please go to Help > Troubleshooting > Restart Agent within 1Password and finally restart safari to ensure the extension is properly reloaded.

    Hope that helps,
