Security and locking

I understand that 1Password automatically locks. However, if you have the preferences set to auto-unlock and not ask for master password - is it truly locked?

    Welcome to the forums. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

The 1Password database is always encrypted, regardless of any settings. When you set the preference for "Never Prompt for Master Password," your Master Password is stored in your OS X keychain (which is by default available whenever you are logged in and never locks).

So I guess that depends on what your definition of "locked" is. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

But we do not recommend setting the "Never Prompt for Master Password" setting and would get rid of it in an instant if there weren't so many people who were adamant about having it.
