Do you guys still have the Tiger version of Knox available?

Is there any way to obtain/demo/purchase the previous tiger 10.4.11 version(s) of Knox by any chance?

or do you have a suggestion for encryption of folders/files/disks for tiger on a ppc?

I'll tell you for sure if you guys could create a mac friendly (and tiger compatible) GUI interface or mac-specific step by step tutorial for truecrypt, I would definitely buy that from you since the truecrypt documentation and interface is the most un-mac un-friendly stuff I have ever seen. a person truly has to be sophisticated geek code-head to even begin to understand and use that mystifying stew of gobbledy gook, which is why knox is so appealing, yes?

but we tiger users are left in the cold again .... unless you still can provide the tiger version of knox?

thanks

What version are you looking for exactly. 1.64 for example.

I am not sure if due to legal reasons from the purchase etc if they will be able to release previous versions.

However having said that, since I am a user of the previous Knox and since we both are previous version license holders, and seeing as I don't get paid for my work here I think I can safely say I have an archived copy that I can give you a link to, look for a PM in the next little bit. Ill have to get it uploaded into the old dropbox public folder.

I am going to leave this post here as it may be of use to them.

Edit : just to be specific you will need the previous license key to use this version and one issued from agile will not work.

    Hi Hamac,

We can happily provide you with a link to download the latest 1.x version of Knox, however as Tommy correctly stated you'll need an existing Knox 1.x license as the new Knox 2.x licenses won't work the previous versions and we don't have access to generate previous version licenses. You can download Knox 1.6.4 from here: http://aws.cachefly.net/aws/dmg/KNOX/Knox-1.6.4.zip

I hate to say this but really Tiger is dead, with Apple stopping all support, including security, updates for it, it's time to move on. I know in some cases hardware won't allow you to, but if you can you should upgrade to Leopard at the very least. I think that's why you'll find a lot of developers cutting off Tiger and focussing on Leopard and in some cases Snow Leopard for future versions of their applications.

uh, not only will my hardware not support Snow leopard, there's this little issue called "budgets" aka "economic downturn" aka .... "the recession" <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> .... really great timing for it huh?

    but thanks for the well-heeded advice -- otherwise I never would have guessed <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

PS: finally found this new forum -- what's that - about the 4th forum version? can't wait to see the next one and wade through all those dead links again! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

    couldn't resist the jab just for fun of course <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

cheers -- I'm making all my windoze using relatives & friends check out the new 1P for winduhs since it's clearly superior to anything out there. and the mac version/interface is much more attractive than all too.

you guys have an affiliate program by any chance? <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I completely understand, depending on the spec of your Mac, you should be able to upgrade to Leopard, and I'm guessing this should be available fairly inexpensively on eBay, though if you just can't justify it, that's fair enough

<img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_bigsmile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-D' /> Yeah it's been an interesting journey, I think this one should be here to stay for a while, it seems to fix a LOT of the issues we were having with vBulletin and also have a lot of the features we liked from Get Satisfaction. I love some of the new interfaces, and it looks prettier too, just need our designer to replace that 'IPBoard' thing with a shiny Agile Web Solutions logo <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
