1Password 3.7.2 login auto submit still not fully functional

I'm still experiencing problems with this on Lion. I upgraded to 3.7.2 today and have the 3.7.beta10 Safari extension.

I've checked my global preferences options and have "Submit automatically after filling a login" selected. All individual login properties are set to "submit if auto submit is on".

A typical case is my Draytek router. The login and password fields are correctly completed on the web login page but I always have to manually click on a button on the web page to complete the process. This used to work so sweetly but ever since the new Safari extension/Lion upgrade (I'm not sure whether either or both contribute to this issue) I have a lot of web sites that this happens with.

Alas, I am having the same problem... again.

Using the latest (3.7.2) version of 1Password and beta version 10 of the extension with Lion and Safari5.1.

If I deselect the option to "Ask to Save new logins" in the extension and close Safari then reopen Safari, the option is again selected. On some sites (not all) I am shown the toolbar to save the login even though already saved. When it does show the toolbar, clicking on the "X" does not remove the toolbar either.

A day later and now everything is working as it should. Options are saved, and not asking for logins anymore. Strange behavior, although I believe it is more a Safari issue than 1P issue.

Blacksmith and netbsd, what happens if you visit the web pages where you are seeing issues with Autosubmit and you just press a return after the fields are filled by 1Password? Do the forms actually process at that point, or only when you click on a button? The 1Password extension is sending a return, so if this does nothing when you're in control it will be the same result with 1Password. Please let me know what your behavior is when pressing a return. If it does works without clicking a button, please let us know the full URL of a site and we'll be glad to check into it.

avi8tor, it sounds like your issues were different than the other posters on this thread since they deal with saving Logins items too often, but I'm glad that it cleared up on their own.

    Thanks.

Since posting I upgraded Firefox to 5.0.1 and find that it works perfectly when logging into my router. However, neither Safari nor Chrome auto submit nor accept pressing the <return> key so I have to click a button on the login web page. Logging in to the router (which I do often) always auto autosubmitted always worked perfectly until the Lion/Safari/1Password upgrades of a couple of weeks ago. The good news is that all the web sites I use frequently all seem to be OK now with this last 1Password upgrade. I've also changed my preferences to include beta versions to keep as up to date with developments as possible.

My default web browser is Safari 5.1 and according to Chrome I have the most up to date version, 13.0.782.10.

The method for autosubmit has changed in the new extension which ends up working better for most sites (it has fixed a lot of trouble sites for our users) but there may be some where it is a slight step backwards. We are always working to keep improving this, though.

I'm glad autosubmit it working with your other sites. Perhaps you will find one or two where autosubmit used to not work but now it does. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

If we can be further assistance, please let us know.
