    Hi Chuck,

Do you by chance have Evernote installed? The Evernote web clipper is known to not be friendly with other extensions that have toolbar buttons. Removing the web clipper is the solution.

  • No, I only have 2 extensions, awesome screenshot and 1P. could it be awesome screenshot? i can remove that if needed.

does 1P not work with any other extensions?

I'm not aware of any incompatibilities with awesome screenshot, but it's possible that there is a conflict. I'd suggest removing it to see if it is the cause. If there are still issues you could reinstall it and we could go from there.

I am writing to complain that the 1Password Safari extension doesn't work with Evernote Safari clipper.

I wrote to the Evernote developers who replied that they used to work with 1Password to ensure there were no conflicts, but Agile no longer works with them.

Can I request that Agile please work with Evernote developers to ensure the users don't suffer? I'm sure this has to be technically possible in the 21st century.

Both of your apps are very popular in the Mac community and both need to co-exist within Safari as a vital part of our computer environments.

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forums, virtual3.

We are only using Safari's native extension APIs now, so as long as Evernote is not using any undocumented calls, etc. there shouldn't be a problem. I'm not sure who you spoke with at Evernote, but the reality of the situation is that we have communicated in the past and have no reason not to do so in the future. Many of us on the team use and love Evernote.

If you use the Safari 5.1 clipper, you shouldn't have any trouble since it is just a bookmarklet:
