I'm sorry for the trouble; Safari has a bug that will cause it to crash when selecting the 1Password item from the context menu when Safari's toolbar is hidden.
The cause of the problem is Safari treats the 1Password toolbar item as "active" even when the toolbar is hidden, so we have no way of knowing we need to do things differently.
The work around is easy: simply select the View > Customize Toolbar menu to bring up the customization window. While it's showing, click on the 1P icon and drag it off the toolbar. It should "poof" and disappear. Click Done, and your toolbar will hide once again.
Now that there is no item present, 1Password will behave differently. Instead of showing a popover window from the Toolbar, it will create a window within the current web page.
Please note that when you use this approach, you will no longer be able to open 1Password on special pages like Top Sites, Bookmarks, or blank pages.Flag 0 -
any other way to fix this ?Flag 0

Versions: 1password 3.8.0 (build 31111)
Safari extension: 3.7.b16
Safari Version 5.1 (7534.48.3)
How to reproduce:
1. Go to a page that has Twitter integration, such as http://davdin.posterous.com/groupon-and-what-should-managers-be-impatient
2. Click on the Twitter Sign-in button. This will open up a new window without a toolbar.
3. Right-click in the new window and click the "1Password" menu item.
4. Safari will crash.Flag 0 -
Thanks for the feedback, folks! I merged the two threads into one.
