    Hey there, Jacqueline! Welcome to the forums! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

That is strange indeed. We have had reports of this in the past, but haven't been able to reproduce it. Could you try restarting your iPad to see if this resolves the issue? Just hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

Are you using an external keyboard with your iPad at all? And when the onscreen keyboard disappears, are you able to bring it back by reselecting the search field (or another that allows text input)?

Let me know if this helps. I look forward to hearing back from you.
  • Hi all, although very pleased with 1password, is there a bug in the search for logins? On my ipad I can see a list of all my logins in alphabetical order down the right hand side, and there is a search box at the top. Tapping the box brings up the keyboard, but whatever key I press makes the keyboard vanish and no search happens. The same thing works fine on Windows. Thanks for any help.
  • Hello wombat and welcome to the Forums!

I answered your support e-mail reply separately, but for others coming across this issue, as Brent mentioned, we've had reports of this happening in the past.

Luckily, I experienced it as soon as I grabbed an iPad to test...on both my iPad 1 and my iPad 2. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

In the majority of cases in the past, the issue occurred when coming back to 1Password after multi-tasking...and, when there was low memory due to a large number of additional apps open. In my two cases, I had exactly the same situation.

In 99.9% of the times I've experienced this in the past, quitting and relaunching 1Password resolves the problem. However, there was one time where I needed to quit a couple of memory hog apps to take care of it.

If this behavior continues to happen, please try the methods I mentioned. If neither works, please try rebooting your device as Brent suggested.

    Cheers!

    Brandt
  • Hi Brandt, restarting iPad cured the problem. I haven't seen this on anything other than 1password but at least I have a workaround now. Thanks.
  • wombat,

Thanks for the update, and for the e-mail. I'm glad a quick reboot resolves the issue for you...and me. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Cheers!
