Autosave prompts for Logins already saved; can't copy passwords
in Mac
I used to ADORE 1password. But since I upgraded to Lion is simply no longer works. It repeatedly asks me if I want to keep passwords for sites I already have in its database, even if I add them to the 'avoid autosave' list. I've tried turning off autofill in Safari, but that just became a huge pain for all the regular sites I wanted access to without the faff.
And now, to cap it all, it gets passwords wrong! I got so annoyed with the repeated 'do you want to save this password' that I thought I'd just switch off auto submit to see if that did anything (it didn't) but now, when I click on the 1password button in my safari bar and click on 'copy' to get the password to the site I've just entered' I paste the given password and it's wrong! I've tried that method with different sites and I get an error message, so instead I have to open 1password itself and go to that site and copy the password letter by letter from the database.
So, if 1password can't even copy the correct password from its own database, and after a couple of weeks of putting up with this very annoying banner coming down asking me if I want to store a password that it already has, I'll just stop using it, simplify some regular passwords as securely as possible and wait until the software works again.
Don't suppose I'll get my money back...

Hey cupofassam,
I would love to resolve your issues, but I need additional information to help you.
Please reply and let us know the following versions you are using when you experience the behavior you mention:
OS X (I presume Lion based on your topic title)
1Password 3 for Mac
1P's Safari extension
Please ensure you are running the latest releases of the 1Password application and Safari extension, 3.7.2 (build 31099) & 3.7.b10, respectively. If you are still experiencing these issues using our current versions, please let us know the specific URLs on which you are seeing 1Password get the passwords wrong.
I've never experienced 1Password copying incorrect passwords before, and if you are having this problem, I definitely want to investigate why this is happening.
If you continue to have these issues, I'd appreciate you sending us a Diagnostics Report so we can dig into the details. To generate the report from 1Password on your Mac, open 1Password and select Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report. Then attach the entire file to an email addressed to support@agilebits.com.
Please include a link to this thread in your e-mail message so that we may more quickly connect-the-dots.
I look very forward to finding out the reasons behind your current behavior. With your help, I am confident that we will be able to figure it out and get you back up and running.
Cheers!

Thank for your concern.
I'm using OSX 7 (lion)
Safari is 5.1
1pass extension is 3.7.b10
1password 3 for mac
So far when I've tried to copy the password for ebay and for Royal Mail customer services, it has got it wrong. Happy to do a video grab to show you.
The 'do you want to save this password' comes down for every single site I enter, regardless of whether I have them already, or whether I've disabled autosave for them.
This is no longer convenient at all - it used to be a lifesaver. Now it just reminds me of working with Windows.

You are already using the latest version of the Safari extension which is great! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
Since you only mentioned you are using 1Password 3 and not the specific version, I'm not sure if you are reporting some issues which have been already resolved or not. As Brandt mentioned, please update to 1Password 3.7.2 if you have not done so already. You can do this by selecting "Check for Updates" in 1Password's application menu.

In that same menu, you can verify which specific version of 1Password 3 you are using by selecting "About 1Password". You should be using at least 1Password 3.7.2.
Once you have verified you are using 1Password 3.7.2, please go the Help menu and then select Troubleshooting > Restart Agent. That should resolve any issues with copying information to the clipboard from the extension.
There is a known issue with 1Password and Safari's own AutoFill (described in the User Guide) which can cause the repeated autosave behavior you describe. Please ensure that you have disabled Safari's AutoFill for user names and passwords in Safari's preferences by unchecking the box like this:

That should resolve the autosave issue.
Please let me know how it goes for you.
