Frustrated - not one site is remembered
Greetings. I have been using 1Password for a long while, well worth the cost and upgrades... until now. (I am using 10.6.8 on MBP 2008 Intel, 15”, now with 1Password 3.7.2 and Safari 5.1)
Since the change in 3.7, 1Password has not recognized any web site login (using Safari 5.1). But when I go to 1Password itself and look, there the web sites are listed with the correct login data. Manually entering every password was what I bought 1Password to avoid. I have reviewed the troubleshooting guides and no help.
This almost seems like going back 10 years and keeping everything in a word processing document. I can get the data as fast that way as manually looking up every user name and password in 1Password.
Please tell me that there will be an update that brings some sanity back to this; make this simple like it had been before 3.7.
PS:
I would have responded two weeks ago, but we moved to California last week, meaning packing, loading, and driving a U-Haul truck with a car carrier, then unloading so not much time to fiddle with software, that had been working flawlessly and should still be.
Frustrated old codger.

Hello exegete77 and welcome to the Forums!
Frustrated old codger? It sounds like you've been through a rough couple of weeks, notwithstanding your 1Password issues. I would be frustrated too.
The behavior you're experiencing is not normal. There is no other way to put it. I am confident that we will be able to figure out the reason(s) why you are having your recent problems if you are willing to provide some additional details.
You mentioned that you are running 10.6.8, 1Password 3.7.2 and Safari 5.1, and I presume that you are running 1P's Safari extension 3.7.b10. Given that you are up to date, as of this writing, I would like to know if 1Password does not recognize "any" sites, or just "some" sites. From your post, I gather that it is "all" sites.
If this is the situation, to help us track down the issue more quickly, could you please email us your Diagnostics Report?
To generate the report from 1Password on your Mac, open 1Password and select Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report. Then attach the entire file to an email addressed to support@agilebits.com.
Please include a link to this thread in your e-mail message so that you will not need to recount the issue a second time. After driving to California with a U-Haul, I think you've done enough work for a whole decade. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
In the interim, if you ever find yourself near the Pine Mountain Club out in sunny California, I recommend having breakfast at the Bistro on the Greens restaurant. The Midwestern Omelet is pretty tasty! <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
I'm looking forward to resolving this issue for you so that you can set your mind at ease and spend more time on the golf course.
Cheers!
Brandt
P.S. The Corned Beef Hash and Eggs is a close second.Flag 0 -
Thanks for the reply.

Yes, that is true about the Safari extension. I have to preach tomorrow (as well as a few other things, like register our car, get my driver’s license, minor details <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> ) so it will Monday/Tuesday before I can respond.

This is our 28th move in 40+ years of marriage. My wife can out-pack anyone. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

As a matter of fact I live in Pinon Pines and have stayed with a family in PMC last Jan/Feb. They took me to the Bistro a couple times. Good food.Flag 0 -
Thanks for the reply. I'll look forward to looking at your DR when you send it.
Small world! You've actually been to the Bistro! Hope you have chance to go again soon.
Preaching tomorrow? You better get some rest.
Regarding a topic for your sermon, how about: "The Dangers of Change...Better Keep the 'Good Book' Within Arm's Reach!" <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
Have a nice evening.

Hey folks,
Just to be sure we are on the same page with this issue. Could you provide some additional details? If you click the 1P button in Safari's toolbar, and then click the second icon on the left in the extension popover, do you see your Logins listed there?

Is the issue just that the domains are not being matched for the current site (in the "Logins" section), or is none of the data from the main 1Password application being displayed even in the "All Logins" section of the extension?
Please let me know. Thanks!Flag 0 -
"Changed" as in "resolved"? Please let me know. I'd love to get the latest details and resolve the issue if it still exists. Have you tried simply saving a new Login?
Please try saving the login manually like this:
1. Enter your username and password, but DO NOT submit the form.
2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and select the "+" button in the upper right hand corner.
3. Change the title and make any notes (if desired).
4. Click the Save button in the upper right hand corner.Flag 0
