What 1Password version should I use with Safari 5.0.5
Because I am on slow dialup, I have downgraded Safari 5.1 to Safari 5.0.5 for various reasons.
The 1P button with 3.7.2 (build 31099) does nothing using Safari 5.0.5. What version of 1Password should I use with Safari 5.0.5? Will the database still be compatible?
I'm using 10.6.8
TIA,
Bill

I would try 1Password 3.6.0, but I don't have a machine running Safari 5.0. The only reason I can think of that it might not work is if "downgrading" to the older version of Safari broke something. Otherwise, Safari 5.0 was fully supported in Snow Leopard in 1Password 3.6.0.
Be sure to uninstall the Safari extension in Safari's preferences (the Safari 5.0 extension will not show up there, that is only for the Safari 5.1 extension). Please let me know how it goes for you.Flag 0 -
I found your older versions download page and started with 1P 3.6.5 after uninstalling the prior extension. So far everything seems to be working fine.
Thanks,
Bill

I'm guessing there was a typo in your post since we have yet to release anything newer than 3.7, but I am glad that everything is working well.

if you want 1Password to work perfectly in Snow Leopard, you can use every version of 1Password and even the all last version if you wish.
BUT : DON'T USE SAFARI 5.1 <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />
DON'T USE ITS CRAP EXTENSION
USE ONLY SAFARI 5.05 MAXIMUM
And then 1Password will be OK to use like beforeFlag 0 -

Hi fabricepsb
1Password works fine in Safari 5.1. In fact we have released a number of updates since it's release to try and perfect it. I wouldn't say we are there yet, but we have made a lot of progress.
I would recommend updating to Safari 5.1 at this point.

i'm sorry Ben to be very hard about 1Password ("crap" extension as i wrote)
i'm testing 1Password on an external disk with Snow Leopard, Safari 5.1 and the very last version of 1Password.
At this moment i think that 1Password is not ready for me to update Safari in my internal hard disk.
As i don't speak english very well, it's very difficult to explain every issue that i have. But i read on this forum that lots of people
have approximately the same issues than me.
So i will be patient and will wait until a definitive version of 1Password fix my issues.Flag 0
