<div class="IPBDescription">Mac</div>I just downloaded the trial for 1Password (Lion). The Program seems to have some promise. However, as a new user, I am a bit frustrated about the lack of a user manual that provides specific steps to use the program. My frustration is with websites where I already have a user name and password. Regenerating a secure password using 1Password is either not discussed or buried somewhere in all of their limited help pages.



This seems to have become a universal trend - limited or no documentation on how to use a specific problem. Why new users have to hunt and peck to figure out how to use such software is a very cumbersome way to use same.



Thanks for allowing me to vent.



Any suggestions would be helpful.

Apologies for the confusion tbsteph. We are still working to update our documentation as quickly as the application and new Safari extension are being updated. It's not easy to do since our developers work so quickly. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />



At the moment, there is no "update password" mechanism in the new Safari extension. You will need to generate a password and fill it on the password change page for the site and submit the change. Then log out and go back to the login page. Click Password Generator in the extension and then click the "View Password History" button. The password you just generated will be listed there for you to fill on the login page and save a new Login. You will need to manually delete the old one at this time.



We are still looking to improve the workflow (and documentation) here, but I hope that helps.
