Suggestion: Reeder Support

I've just fallen in love with the new Reeder RSS app on both my iOS devices and my mac and I was wondering if there was any plan/possibility to add 1Password support to it.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

  • Hi Nicolasd,

I'm a huge Reeder fan too, and I know quite a few members of the team are as well. I can certainly see how awesome it would be to have 1Password support within Reeder, but there's a problem.

In order for us to integrate with other apps on the Mac, we just can't do this on iOS at all, the other app has to have a rich extensions framework similar to what browsers like Safari, Firefox and Chrome provide us. Without that there just isn't an easy way for us to make the integration work.

That doesn't mean it's not something we could look into for the future, with help from the Reeder team, but at the moment our focus is on overhauling our main browser extensions. We do also have some ideas for the future on how we can hopefully make your 1Password data more accessible outside browsers but it's too early to really go into more detail on that, and plus it would spoil the surprise <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Sorry that's not the answer you're looking for, but I hope the explanation helps.

I wasn't really hoping for iOS support but the Mac version would have been nice... I guess it's just gonna be copy and paste for now <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

Thanks for the quick answer and while I'm here thanks for the awesome Safari extension. It's great!
