Not prompted to save a Login

two issues:

Sandy Springs bank:

https://www.sandyspringbank.com/

when I enter user id and password information, no "Save this password?" dialogue box appeared across the top of the browser. When I was initially configuring my access, ALL of that information was stored as I was given a "save login" opportunity then. Upon returning to the website, I click on my button (Safari 5.1 with 1Password Version 3.6.5 ((build 31075))), and no option is presented in Login's. I attempted a workaround, manually creating the login info, and manually choosing it when I launch the website, but then instead of a direct login, it goes to a secondary page, defunct of nearly all code, except for a spot for the user id and password in the upper left hand corner, then auto advance to the banking stuff, all logged in. It doesn't seem it should work like that and require my work around. Am I doing something wrong?? or is this something unique about the construction of their website??

Zion's First National Bank:

https://www.zionsbank.com/

they have a 2 step login process. Page one, user ID then page two, which contains information specific to that login script for security verification, and the place for the password. I cannot figure out how to do the one-step-login given their configuration. I have had to remember my user ID, advance to page two, then I can use the 1P button, and select the login script provided from a prior login save. Can it be easier instead?

thanks!

    Welcome to the forums, drjef!

Please try saving the Logins manually like this:

    1. Enter your username and/or password but don't submit the form

    2. Click the 1P toolbar button and then click the + button in the top right corner of the extension to save a new Login

    3. Click Save to confirm

You can do this for each step of a multi-step login process. You will have two Logins for a single website in that case: one for each page. For example, you could title the login you save for the first step "Bank - Username" and then "Bank - Password" for the second.

Unfortunately, the Sandy Spring Bank site is using a frame on a different domain which is something we are working on at the moment. Try this URL instead:

    https://ssbomd.secure.fundsxpress.com/SandySpringBank_Online_Banking

Using the above technique (and that URL for the Sandy Spring site), I was able to save and fill sample Logins for both sites.

I hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes for you. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
  • Hey Khad,

thanks for the kind words and prompt reply. I am most appreciative of your thoroughness. I understand about SS and will just save that URL, which worked fine, thanks!

following your instructions for Zion's gave me an error page, followed by redirection to:

    https://www.zionsbank.com/biz/home.jsp

it sounded great though! Maybe the answer is that I'll simply have to create a user ID I remember easily.

    much thanks again!

Thanks for letting me know it worked out! I am not able to reproduce any trouble on the Zions Bank site. Since I don't have an account there, I wasn't able to get too far, but using the Login ID "login" I am able to save a Login which fills and submits properly on the first page.

Does it fill for you and not submit? Try deleting your existing Login for the first page of the Login process and save a brand new one.

Also, please be sure you are using the latest version of 1Password (3.7.5) and the Safari extension (3.7). Perhaps it did not work properly in earlier versions.
  • Well, I'm back! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_thinking.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='(think)' />

I tried, and have had another headache with the American Motorcycle Association's website and 1Password not being friendly. It is unusual in that it has a couple of unusual prompts that I suspect aren't accommodated in the regular programming of 1Password. After you check them out:

    https://sso.americanmotorcyclist.com/login.aspx?vi=7&vt=4380af33a800e3bbc919f21f90cfcf8f696490ccbf0fd9dd03873f025ca67fd320dfd4f6f2545871efbc8779f9d273e419829c4942ac25d27d4cc4dc3379ae710d0b500b717ff5cc86c67e646575059f879a0900e75a775d146c977e547bd87f73e7a21ca05912c5aaf9156a60d16361&ResetEmail=N

would you give me some of your kind input on how I can ease getting in there with 1Password and no headaches?

    thanks!

    AMA? What do you ride? <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I'm on an older CBR600 myself. It's an F3, right before they went fuel injected with the F4i.

Have you tried saving a Login manually as I outlined above? You may need to select the "Yes" radio button to indicate you have a password (as I am assuming you do) before filling the Login with 1Password.

By following the steps above to manually save a Login on the AMA site, I am able to successfully fill a Login there. If you are still having trouble, please try disabling autosubmit for your AMA Login item:

Please let me know how it goes.
  • I have a DL1000 (Suzuki). It's a "sports touring" bike, so fast, but upright seating position and limited off-road. I dig it, just don't have the chance to ride enough <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> Glad to see you're a brother!

I followed your directions, and have something working. I asked because I'd hoped maybe you guys had a newer, faster solution since last time, and to also direct you to their system, to show the code to your code monkeys, so that maybe there can be one in the future <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />!

    thanks Khad!

It would have been much nicer to have your DL1000 for my trip from LA to San Francisco. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

We'll definitely see if we can improve on this, but their design makes it tricky with that radio button selection requirement.

Let me know if there is anything else we can help with in the meantime. Stay safe out there!
