• Have loaded the latest extension. The master password is accepted in 1Password. It is not accepted in safari 5.1. I have checked "do not ask for masterpassword" but it still shows and does not accept the password!!!!!!

  • Did "restart agent". Reinstalled Safari extension. Still safari refuses master password. My master password is 3 characters long. Could that be a problem? I have generated a troublshooting document. Should I send it to you. What address would I send it to?

    Pyrrho,

Before you do, could you please check for me that you have 1Password 3.7.5 and Safari extension version 3.7?

If you do, please send the diagnostic report to support@agilebits.com with a link to this thread.

    Thanks

I'm sorry for the trouble here, pyrrho.

At this time "Never prompt for master password" is not supported in the Safari 5.1 extension. Are you certain that you know what your master password is? You can verify this by disabling that option in 1Password's preferences.

When you disable that option, you will be prompted to enter your master password. If you had the option enabled, you would never have had to enter your master password in the main application. I just want to make sure you know your master password and disabling that option will verify that.

If you are still having trouble, you may need to uninstall and then reinstall the Safari extension as described in the User Guide. Also, try turning on the Caps Lock key if you have been using the "Never prompt for master password" option since 1Password 3.5.9 or earlier. We made a change in 3.6.0 which may mean you need to enable Caps Lock to enter your master password.

Please let me know how it turns out.
