Console shows constant Querying

I'm running snow leopard on my Macbook Pro and using the newest versions of Chrome, Firefox and Safari. I was runnng 1password until about 9 months ago when I unistalled it and use Keepass for all password storage since I use a locked-down Windows PC at work, Mac at home, and an iPhone.

I recently opened Console and noticed the following happening every second:

    Welcome to the forums, sprintracer53!

I'm sorry you never got a response from us; we do indeed reply to all emails we get (albeit, since Lion's release we've fallen quite far behind). Perhaps your spam filter get in the way?

To fix the problem, run this command from Terminal:
launchctl remove ws.agile.1PasswordAgent
Or, if you'd prefer, you can use the application uninstaller.
  • Thank you, that seems to have fixed the issue.

Awesome! Thank you for the update, sprintracer53!

Hopefully we see you around here again some day <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

OK, I'm having this problem too, but I still have and use 1P. Should I still remove ws.agile.1PasswordAgent from launchctl? This seems to have just started happening after my last reboot. OSX 10.8.6, 1P 3.8.6.

I've started getting lines like this in the system.log whenever I launch any application:
Sep 24 22:49:50 Brad-Ummers-Mac-mini BBEdit[2194]: Cannot find executable for CFBundle 0x177f00e0 </Users/bradummer/Library/ScriptingAdditions/1Password Addition.osax> (not loaded)

    Sep 24 22:49:36 Brad-Ummers-Mac-mini Console[2186]: Cannot find executable for CFBundle 0x1dc7c0 </Users/bradummer/Library/ScriptingAdditions/1Password Addition.osax> (not loaded)

    Sep 24 22:49:36 Brad-Ummers-Mac-mini [0x0-0x6d06d].com.apple.Console[2186]: Console: OpenScripting.framework - scripting addition "/Users/bradummer/Library/ScriptingAdditions/1Password Addition.osax" declares no loadable handlers.
Note that this is happening when I launch any program (not just web browsers). Any idea what's causing this? A little googling around seems to indicate that it might be related to 32 vs. 64 bit things, but I don't really know enough to investigate further. I'm running a Mac Mini 1.66 GHz intel Core Duo (which I believe is 32 bit), OS X 10.6.8, and 1P 3.8.6.
  • Hey there, bradsmith74! I am sorry for the trouble (and the wait), and I just wanted you to know we are looking into it. I am at a loss for what BBEdit would have to do with 1Password, but hopefully another member of the team can shed some light on these entries. Thanks for your patience. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Brent- It's not just BBEdit- this is happening any time I launch any application. E.g.:

For some reason my system is trying to load 1Password Addition.osax whenever I launch an any application.

I'm sorry for the troubles, Brad. It looks like for some reason, one of our older components has been "stripped" of some of its parts on this Mac. Since you're running our latest version of 1Password you don't even need that ScriptingAdditions item any longer so let's just remove it.

Using the Finder, please open the following folder:

    your_name > Library > ScriptingAdditions

Drag the 1Password Addition.osax item to the Trash. Now run your other applications and the Console messages should not appear.

I hope that helps! Please let me know.

    Thanks!
