Unfiled Folder
Yesterday I upgraded to 3.6.1 but I now realize that my "unassigned" smart folder (or whatever it was called) is now missing. This is a problem for me because I use that folder to know which items need to be filed in my various categories. Is this a new bug, or did I somehow delete the smart folder? How would I get it back?

Hey Jim,
Thanks for asking about this. The "Unfiled" Smart Folder was removed as it lead to much confusion. You can still recreate it, though, along with some even "smarter" folders. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
I hope that helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

That was easy enough to recreate... thank you.
I do question the wisdom of removing it by default. How else would a user determine which of his logins, generated passwords, etc were filed? I suppose that if people just leave all the data in an "unsorted heap", they wouldn't need this folder. I use it to make sure that I keep my vault clean.

Everyone has a different way of using 1Password. As I mentioned to Stats in another thread, "I don't use folders at all since I love the speed of 1Password's search." I also don't use folders for my email. It's either in my inbox or archived. Search is awesome. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';-)' />
But that's just me.
The default inclusion of the "Unfiled" Smart Folder really was causing a higher amount of support issues than it was worth. We figured the best thing to do would be to make it optional so everyone wins. <img src='http://forum.agile.ws/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />
Advanced users who like to organize things can create the Smart Folder and other folks never need to be confused by it.
I'm glad that everything worked out well for you. If we can be of further assistance, please let us know.
