URL Review Prior to Save

Have you experienced clicking on item in 1Password and being taken to a page that wasn't actually a login page? I would like to prevent this by adding the ability to review and edit the URL of an about-to-be-saved login before it gets saved to 1Password. This way I could make sure that the URL will actually take me to a page designed to accept the site login. URL review could be set as a preference (the default being "No Review") so that people who don't want this extra step wouldn't be inconvenienced.

Thanks for the feedback! This is something we can look into, certainly. I think the current way of doing things is based on the idea that you are saving a login for a page you are at for good reason. Since for the most part you only need to fiddle with a Login item once or twice, it isn't too much trouble to tweak it in 1Password and then forget about it. Even if 1Password allowed you to edit the URL when saving the item, you would still need to find a generic login form (maybe in another tab) to copy the URL to replace the other.

That said, with our new Safari extension you can actually edit the URL for any saved Login item right within the browser extension. Once you have signed up for an account in these situations, you can simply navigate to a normal login form, copy the URL, and add it to the Login item you just saved.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
