iPad App 3.5.9 / iOS 4.3.4 (8K2) Won't Log Into Charles Schwab

Yesterday's update of the iPad to iOS 4.3.4 (8K2) caused my previously working login to Schwab's accounts to fail.

1) The login information is correct.

2) Pressing the login arrow takes me to the correct URL and the necessary fields are filled in correctly.

3) When I press the "Login" button, the button "flashes" normally, but no progress happens in the URL window.

Anyone else seeing this?

Any suggestions?

I am not able to reproduce any trouble with the sample Schwab Login I saved at this URL:

    https://www.schwab.com/

Is that the URL you are using? If you are syncing with 1Password for Mac or Windows, please save a new Login on your desktop and sync it over to your iOS device.

Please also try restarting your device by holding down both the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears. This could clear up the issue if it is memory related.

Please let me know how it turns out.

    Thanks!
  • I am also experiencing the same problem. If I copy the credentials from 1PW and enter them directly into Safari all is fine. The URL synched from my Mac is client.schwab.com and the failure occurs on both my iPhone (AT&T) and iPad (3G). This is a PITA.
  • Also, on my Mac I have to turn autosubmit off to use your internal browser. Safari works fine with plugging the credentials with autosubmit on.

It is pointing to this login page, right?

If yes, I can reproduce your issue. Please edit the Login to point to https://www.schwab.com/ and then see if 1Password will work. You may have to re-save it on the front page with Safari 5.

If you're using Safari 5.1, please try saving the login manually like this:

    1. Enter your username and password, but DO NOT submit the form.

    2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and select the "+" button in the upper right hand corner.

    3. Change the title and make any notes (if desired).

    4. Click the Save button in the upper right hand corner.

After re-saving, it should work better with auto-submit.

I'm not sure what you're referring to as our "internal browser"?
