Smart Folder That Keeps Appearing After Being Deleted [FIXED with Extension v.3.7]

I have a Smart Folder that I continually try to delete. It goes to the trash and I empty the trash. In a matter of seconds, it appears again. I'm using Lion, 1Password v3.7.5 and syncing with Dropbox. I don't know but it looks like it might be occurring after Dropbox Sync? I've tried running all the 1Password "Troubleshooting" tasks in "Help Menu", but no changes.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

  • Problem Solved. Problem seemed to be in a corrupted 1Password Safari Extension. I uninstalled / reinstalled the 1Password Extension and everything is fine now.

I am having the same problem, that after i empty the trash, the items in the trash immediately reappear. It's magic!!!! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />)

Can somebody tell me how to reinstall the 1P Safari extension? I do not use drop box.

You simply quit 1Password application and restart it.

You will be asked if you want to install the Safari extension.

There was an issue in a previous version but this should be resolved using 1Password 3.7.5 and version 3.7 of the Safari extension. Please let me know if you are still having trouble with those (or newer) versions.

    Cheers,
  • I'm using OS X Lion and had installed 1Password 3.8.0 BETA-1 (build 31107) and noticed this behaviour with folders and logins that I deleted. The uninstalling and reinstalling of the Safari extension appears to have fixed the problem. I now have Safari extension 3.7.b16.
  • Hello Steven and welcome to the Forums!

Thank you for reporting the issue and letting us know how you resolved it.

An older version of the extension appears to have caused this problem, and for anyone else experiencing the issue, please ensure you are using our latest extension.

    Cheers!

  • Hello,

I'm using the Version 3.8.3 (build 31131) on all my computers and when I delete 2 folders, they are coming back after a few seconds. I use Dropbox to store my 1Password data. I have deleted several other folders without any problem at the same time. Any idea on how I can get this fixed?

    Thanks,

    Benny

    Hi all,

I've got the same problem. It's comeback after deleting.

I've got extension disabled in Safari, nothing in the Toolbar, only 1password.

I deleted everything about 1 password on my mac (sure, I kept only my backup), then reinstalled from the Mac App Store (v3.9), but it's still the same...

One more thing! : the french translation is definitely worse than before !!!!

    Any help?

    Matthieu

edit : i try without and with 3.8.3 extension....... nothing better

I think that we've really nailed this in 3.8.4, which should be arriving soon to an update near you.
