Firefox keyboard shortcut problems

I've been having no end of trouble with 1Password tonight (see my thread on the Beta forum for full story).
I'm now back running 3.7.5 but the default keyboard shortcut won't work with Firefox 5.0.1 so I tried another shortcut. It didn't work either. Now I can't change back to to ⌘\ because 1Password Preferences>Logins will not accept the backslash key. As far as I can tell, all other keys are acceptable except those already in use, so I can't return to defaults which, to put it mildly, is really bugging me.
I'm using Mac OS 10.7 with the aluminium wired keyboard with numeric keypad (UK model).

Odd. Last night I logged off and warm rebooted and I could not get 1Password>Preferences>Logins to accept the ⌘\ key combination.
This morning, after a cold start, I can define my shortcut to be ⌘\. That now works in Safari but Firefox 5.0.1 is still broken. I've tried disabling every single AddOn but can't get ⌘\ to work. Judging from other threads, I'm not the only one.
I bought my 1Password licence in early 2007 and have gone through the Leopard and Snow Leopard upgrades but Lion seems to have caused no end of problems. Or maybe that's not fair, because Safari and Firefox have recently been upgraded themselves, but nevertheless the end result at user level is most frustrating!Flag 0 -
Thanks for the update, Blacksmith. I'm glad things are working overall (in Safari and Chrome as well I would presume). There is a known issue in Firefox which we are working to resolve. I don't have a time frame for a fix at the moment, but this is on our radar.
The changes have been more dramatic due to the advent of WebKit2 in Safari 5.1 among other things. Hopefully they well level off again shortly. We are working around the clock right now.Flag 0 -
Just chiming in on the Firefox issue - same here, the extension works fine, but the keyboard shortcut does not.
Under 3.8.0.BETA-1 (build 31107), I was seeing this in my Mac's console log whenever I tried to bring up 1P with ⌘\
8/14/11 6:38:09.227 AM 1PasswordAgent: Failed to send 'activate' to 'org.mozilla.firefox', client not connected
I've rolled everything back to Version 3.7.5 (build 31106) and that log message no longer appears, but the keyboard shortcut still does not work.
Looking forward to a fix!Flag 0 -

Thanks for the update, Khad.
Yes, that's done the trick. I can report that Firefox 5.0.1 in Mac OS 10.7 is now responding to ⌘\ once again. My sincere thanks to all who have been burning the midnight oil and also to you for posting this update to my original thread.Flag 0 -
