password for sparse bundle (Snow Leopard)

Does 1Password for Mac have a template which can be used to record the password and location of a Snow Leopard (Mac 10.6.x) sparse bundle file? I have some existing sparse bundle files on my hard drive and am trying to find the best way to use 1Password, if possible, to store the password and not to use a Mac OS Keychain for this.

  • Not at this time, but we are hoping to add the ability for custom templates into a future version of 1Password, though I don't have a timeframe for exactly when this will be available.

For now, I'd suggest using the 'Generic Account' option under the 'Accounts' section of 1Password and store the password in the password field and the location in 'Notes'. 1Password won't be able to fill this for you though, so you'll be having to manually copy and paste the password to the Finder prompt.
