What are the length and character limits of the Master Password?

Does anybody know the limits of the Master Password? I mean, are there limits as to how long it can be? Are their certain characters that are or are not allowed? Any other restrictions?



Can I make my Master Password "happy", "correcthorsebatterystaple" or even "This one time ⌚ I stole the...SQUIRREL...correct horse ♘ but it later received charges ☃ for assault ⎃ and...SQUIRREL...battery ⏍ by a ⅔ stapler"?

You definitely can use any master password you wish. I don't know of any specific limits, but do keep in mind that this is something you will need to be able to type to unlock 1Password. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wink:' />

I am indeed familiar with the second post you mentioned, but not the first. I'll review it. I just wanted to see if there were any character limitations that might get me in trouble. As long as I can use any ASCII or Unicode character, and there are no length limitations, I'll be sure to come up with a wonderful Master Password.
