Lion: 1Password Data Missing [Resolved in 1P app with Help > Troubleshooting > Clear Cache]

Hello,

I had been using 1Password for Mac Lion without a problem last one month. This morning, I was doing online banking and at one point I had to login into 1Password for Mac to get some passwords. But when I logged in, I was surprised that all my data was lost. 1Password had still the correct numbers next to folders but inside folders were all empty. Then I shut down the Mac and restarted it again, and after that I had all my data back.

My question: Is this normal ? Does it happen occasionally ? or I am afraid if I was being hacked ?

What do you think ?

Thanks in advance,

Tolga

  • Tolga,

I think I replied to your question in another thread, but I'll repeat it here so everyone can see.

This certainly isn't normal, but we have seen reports from a small number of users who see this issue. It appears to be related to the cache we use to speed up access to your 1Password data. If you go to Help > Troubleshooting > Clear Cache you should find there are no further issues.
