Growl and 1Password 3.7.5 under Lion not functioning

After deleting all my growl tickets in /User/Library/Application Support/Growl/Tickets 1Password does not generate a new Growl ticket (1Password.growlTicket) after starting the app. (3.7.5) Growl is also latest 1.2.2

I performed a 1Password (Growl would notify me) but still no go

Other apps do show Growl notifications. Any suggestions ?

    HI Ben. well just what is advertised <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

if there is an issue just let us know as I just wondered if it was me, 1Password or Growl causing conflicts

Honestly I don't remember ever seeing a 1Password Growl notification in the years that I've been using 1Password+Growl. Where are you seeing an advertisement for 1Password with Growl?

    I'm trying to track this down but I need a little more information. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I get growl notifications when my 1PAssword datafile backups commence and another when they're finished backing up. Is this what you mean?

    Yep Growl is available,

If 1P generated the ticket for Growl then open the Growl pref pane and go to the

    Applications tab http://o7.no/ofl8W0

    Configure http://o7.no/rqNduA

    Notifications http://o7.no/n6k70c

and make sure they are enabled (I seem to remember at one time they were defaulted off, I don't know if this is still the case)

Looking back the OP was asking about 1P not generating a NEW ticket after deleting the "Growl tickets". Personally I myself find this problematic with a lot of apps. The best solution and actually the easiest is to remove the app from my system and then reinstall from scratch which will create a new "Growl ticket".

ps... Warning some app removal programs if you use them can and sometimes do remove the folder containing the keychain and even the backups of the keychain. In my opinion It is always best to manually move the app from the applications folder to the trash, and then download a new copy.

This is why I always recommend you have a backup of your data via Time Machine and another mechanism I use Crashplan for off site backup as well as on site. I am also a big Dropbox user and store my keychain there so in reality I have 3 backup plans for my keychain.

We have seen folks use app removal programs and loose all there passwords etc. Please make sure you have a backup in a safe and secure spot. If you use an app removal program.

As a little side note, Gowl is moving to the Mac App Store
