The new 1Password extension is now ready for Firefox 6!
It’s time for the Return of the 1Password! Except in our version of this bad pun there are no cute, spear-wielding woodland teddy bears, just a powerful password and identity manager with a [url="http://blog.agilebits.com/2011/08/we-have-big-improvements-thanks-to-big-new-1password-and-extension-updates/"]great new browser extension[/url] for Firefox 6 on Mac!

That’s right, Mozilla quietly released [url="http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/"]Firefox 6[/url], and 1Password is ready for it on the Mac! If you want it right now, you’ll need to:[list]
[*]Make sure you have the latest 1Password by going to 1Password > Check for Updates
[*]Update to Firefox 6
[*][url="https://agilebits.com/extensions/mac/firefox.html?beta=n"]Open this page in Firefox[/url] and follow its instructions to install the new Firefox extension

[*]A [url="http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/keyboard_shortcuts.html"]bunch[/url] of [b]new keyboard shortcuts[/b], including Tab and Shift-Tab to navigate between your Logins, Credit Cards, and Identities, and Right/Left arrows for viewing item details or getting back out to the list of all your items
[*]A more [b]visual way to browse, edit, and create new items[/b]. You can view key details of each item, copy them to the clipboard, and edit all without dropping what you’re doing to launch the main 1Password app
[*][b]Fast, type-as-you-go search[/b] built-in for all item types
[*]A [b]new Settings panel[/b] built into the extension for toggling things like Universal Unlock (to also unlock the 1Password app) and AutoSubmit

Please note that the new Firefox extension is only supported on Firefox 6 and above, due to some of the technical complexities between Mozilla’s previous releases. But if you’re using Firefox 4 or 5, don’t worry: you can still install the proper extension from our [url="http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/legacy_versions.html"]legacy page[/url] until you’re ready to upgrade to Firefox 6. We’re also working on adding support for our new extension to 1Password for Windows, so stay tuned there.
