Hello,

I'm using Snow Leopard 10.6.8

I'm using Firefox 6 with the latest add on bar.

Most of the websites that require log in work as normal, except Hotmail and Goggle.

1Password submits the password, but not the username.

Any ideas on how I can fix this, or what I may be doing wrong?

Thanks!

P

    Hi pranaearth,

    Welcome to the forums! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

It sounds like these logins may need to be manually re-saved. Unfortunately the beta extension for Firefox 6 does not yet support doing so.

Please launch Safari 5.1 and try saving the login manually like this:

    1. Enter your username and password, but DO NOT submit the form.

    2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and select the "+" button in the upper right hand corner.

    3. Change the title and make any notes (if desired).

    4. Click the Save button in the upper right hand corner.

    Hope that helps.

  • Hi Ben,

    Thanks for the welcome!

I have already tried this, but for some reason the + isn't working.

I click on the + button and 1Passowrd just closes.

For instance, I haven't been able to save the log in credentials for the Agile forums.

In the older version, I would get a popup that asked me if I wanted to save the credentials.

Now, following our instructions, I fill in the information.

I then click on the 1P button, and I get a drop down style menu.

I then click on the +.

The drop down menu closes and nothing is saved.

    Any ideas?

  • 1Password 3.8.1.BETA-3 (build 31113) and FireFox 6 on Mac OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

It had been a one-step process... I would open 1Password utility on the desktop, click the login title and FireFox would open the login page, and 1Password would automatically fill-in the username, password and enter. Now 1Password desktop is taking me to the login page, but then I have to click the "1P" toolbar button, then click the login that I want and hit enter.

Is this a new "feature" or is there something I have to do to get back to one-click automation?

This is a known issue in Firefox 6, but you are using Safari 5.1 to do the manual save, as I mentioned above, correct?

This is definitely something we are working on.
