simple plug-in wanted

your new browser plug-in (3.8.b5) is way too complicated and graphical. i don't want to see a lock opening every time i go to use a saved password. unfortunately stumbled on this when i was forced to update the plug-in for firefox6 (although i had noticed that behaviour with safari - not my usual browser).

in addition, the new plug-in is less functional - on one site i have a password and a pin number. the old plug-in knew the difference. the new one forces me to pick. that's not an improvement.

how do i get the old text plug-in back?

    Hi bloodnok

Sorry to hear you aren't thrilled with the new interface. Unfortunately it's not possible to use the old interface with the new Safari 5.1 and Firefox 6. The only way to use the old interface is to use an older browser.

Could you please let me know the URL to the site you are having trouble with so that we can test it?

    Thanks

    Ben
  • i don't get why you can't continue to provide the simple interface as a preference, however .... (so much is broken with the "new" browsers, not just your plugin but other capability, that one is tempted to become a luddite and stick with really old crufty browsers. firefox5/6 and especially its retarded kidbrother thunderbird5 are badly broken on lion; thunderbird5 to the point that it just can't be used at all.)

the site that confuses your new plugin is the usaa bank site (https://www.usaa.com/inet/ent_logon/Logon). there are two pages. first page wants username and password, second page wants pin.
