Feature request: Auto-lock when device is locked
I really miss an option for auto-lock, which creates a similar experience like Apple's password handling:
"Auto-lock 1P only when device is locked".
At the moment the time-sensitive options only auto-lock after the configured time span AND when the app is completely closed. This is either too strict (1-10 minutes) for my use (especially on the iPad - frequent need of copy/pasting passwords from 1P into browsers) and therefore hindering my experience or too lenient (30 minutes - I often put away my iPad after 15 minutes, but 1P would still be unlocked for another 15 minutes).
The additional option to "auto-lock when inactive" on the contrary is far too strict, as it auto-locks every time I minimize 1P and open another app. When multitasking back to 1P I again have to input my master password.
The ideal solution for me is Apple's handling of iTunes/App Store passwords: Once entered they are stored as long as the device isn't locked. In my opinion this offers the perfect balance between security and convenient use.
What do you think?

Hey there, om3ga777! I agree, that would be much more user-friendly. Unfortunately, there would need to be a way for 3rd party apps to detect when the device itself is locked. Hopefully this will be possible in the future. Thanks for the suggestion! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0
