password saving not working (Firefox)

I'm on firefox 6, snow leopard, 1password 3.8.0, 1password extension 3.8.
Firefox won't save passwords for me, not automatically, not manually, at least at my work domain. I used to have autosave turned off for my home domain, but recently had to turn it on, since the ability to fill in a form with arbitrary usernames/passwords was disabled ( to see why, look at another thread [url="http://forum.agilebits.com/index.php?/topic/2670-feature-request-linked-accounts/"]http://forum.agilebi...inked-accounts/[/url]).
