Forgive the newbie question...

Sorry for asking such a basic question, but I was going to upgrade to Firefox 6, until it reported prior to the upgrade that 1Password would not work with it (as it was currently configured), so I came here and downloaded the 3.8 upgrade, and installed it with Firefox 5. Then, I began to read all the problems folks seem to be having with Firefox 6, and decided to wait to upgrade. 1Password 3.8 seems to be working fine with Firefox 5, although I thought I read here that that particular upgrade is for Firefox 6 and above. I realize that I have some confusion about this issue, so please forgive. Do I need to go back to 1Password 3.6 or 3.7, or as long as things seem to be working fine can I continue on with Firefox 5 and 1Password 3.8?

Thanks for your excellent product. It really has become something I heavily rely upon.

(BTW I'm using Snow Leopard 10.6.6)

    Hi quietthunder,

    Welcome to the forums! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

You should be all set, as-is. The Firefox 6 extension is still in beta, so as expected there are a few kinks. The ones I've seen reported so far don't seem to be show stoppers, but that's up to you, if you want to take the leap. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

    Thanks

  • Thanks for the response, Ben. So clarifying, it's just the 3.8 Firefox extension that's incompatible with Firefox 5, not 1Password 3.8 itself. So if I don't install the new extension, I can use 1Password 3.8 with Firefox 5. Is that correct?
