Changing Master Password does not work in Firefox 6 / Safari 5.1

Hi --

I'm running 1P 3.8.0 and Firefox 6 on Mac 10.7. Based on your recent blog entries, I changed my master password to one that's mo betta. Now, when opening 1Password directly it takes the new password, but when using the browser plugins in Firefox or Safari they still (and only) accept the old password.

Huh???

  • Hello,

I installed the Firefox version 6 , version 3.8.1 of 1Password and version 3.8 of the plugin for Firefox 6 .

When I click on Firefox 1P it asks for my master password and I enter the same as in 1Password but he says wrong password .

    Thank you for your help

    Hi folks,

Please see this guide for help with this issue:

Extension Data Does Not Match the Main Application

It's the same deal with Firefox as Safari: remove the extension from Firefox and then quit Firefox. Then, install the Firefox extension as you normally would. This refreshes the OnePassword.sqlite database that Firefox 6 / Safari 5.1 are using.

    Thanks
