New iMac

I just bought a new computer and want to transfer my 1password settings and info from my old computer. Could someone explain this process to me.

Hi dayavira,



Do you use Dropbox to sync your 1Password data? If so all you need to do is download and install 1Password on the new computer, download and install Dropbox and wait for it to finish syncing, and then double click on your 1Password.agilekeychain file inside of Dropbox.



If you don't, you can manually copy your 1Password.agilekeychain file to the new computer. By default it is stored in your home directory (the one with your username on it) under Library > Application Support > 1Password

Copy this file to the same location on the new computer and then launch 1Password.

You'd set this up on your current Mac first by going to [b]1Password > Preferences > General[/b] and then clicking the [b]'Move to Dropbox'[/b] option to move your 1Password data file to your Dropbox folder as we detail [url="http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/configure_dropbox_on_mac.html"]in our user guide[/url] which will also tell you how to tell 1Password on the new iMac to use your existing data file.
