Speed Up iDisk backups for Knox Vaults

Is there a faster way (transmit, for example) to backup a vault to iDisk? I have a 10gig personal file vault and it takes forever; furthermore the backup fails the vast majority of the time.

    Experience has shown that iDisk is not a very fast way to backup large amounts of data. Provided that the Knox vault is closed before you start you can certainly try any methods that MobileMe provides for backup to/from their iDisk. Apple Support might be able to provide some more specific guidance in this area since iDisk and the MobileMe service are completely in their control.



    Keep in mind as well that backing up to any "cloud" service requires bandwidth and many home Internet connections have limited upload bandwidth limits compared to their download bandwidth. That can make moving files "upstream" extremely slow compared to downloading the same sized file.
