Feature-request: IRC- and shell-history-proof passwords
Since I do a lot of copying/pasting of my passwords from 1Password, my passwords invariably end up in an IRC channel or in somebody's shell history and I've got to go about changing it. This gets to be a pain if the password is in many places.
To prevent this, I've started prepending my passwords with '/' and including a '!' somewhere in the password.
The slash helps prevent it from going in to an IRC channel, since IRC interprets it as a command (if the slash is the first character)
The ! prevents it from entering bash/sh history.
Since I prepend these characters to an already-strong password, there's no loss in strength if somebody knows what the first 2 characters are.
My feature request is to have a checkbox in the password generator to make the password "IRC/shell-proof". If the box is checked, the password would begin with a slash, contain a ! and still generate as many characters as the specified length, plus 2.
So if my Length Slider specifies 6 and I have the 'IRC/shell-proof' box checked, I would get an 8-character password.
Thanks.

Hi ch1a,
Welcome to the forums.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be honest though and say that I would wager that more than 85% of our customers do not know what IRC or a shell are. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />
