What's the trigger for the "Welcome to the 1Password extension!" webpage at Safari's startup. Also, what files are imperative that the not be deleted regarding caches as I use to Netshred X sanitize my browsers after each closing? Thanks.

    Hey F451,

The welcome page is shown if the OnePassword.sqlite database is not present (suggesting a fresh install). If this file is deleted, either intentionally or unintentionally, then the extension will think that it has been installed for the first time.

    Thanks

The extension's welcome tab will open if…

…you reset Safari before quitting it (Safari > Reset Safari). Right now, you can avoid the welcome tab by unchecking "Remove all website data" from the Reset Safari's options or avoid resetting Safari every time. Those options will stop the welcome tab from showing up every time for now.

…you use the default Lion setting of restoring an application's windows the next time it launches, which will remember the tabs you have opened. In this case, you can either close the welcome tab before quitting Safari, or quit Safari using "Command + Option + Q" instead of just "Command + Q". This will prevent the default Lion behavior of reloading open tabs the next time you start Safari.
