Hi folks,

    Welcome to the forums <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

It looks like both of you are syncing using Dropbox. Can you please confirm Dropbox has finished syncing (green checkmark in the menu bar on it's icon) before you attempt to unlock 1Password?

If it is, could you please describe anything that happened on your system before this message appeared that may be related?

    Thanks

    Ben

My DB is synced and I still get the error
  • Hello all,

Please try restoring from a backup. To accomplish this, open the 1Password application and select File > Restore Data File from Backup. The backup files are dated, so you can pick the latest file.

Please let us know if this works for you.

  • I have the same error and it won't let me restore from the backup. It says "Error: You don’t have permission to save the file “1Password.agilekeychain”." I repaired disk permissions and I did what was recommended in this post but nothing worked. Please find a fix. I am running the newest version of 1password for mac.
  • this is the exact error i got: Exception: Failed to save the object [Comcast/E8660C5D97AD436C8A3D8540040068DA]: Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=513 "You don’t have permission to save the file “E8660C5D97AD436C8A3D8540040068DA.1password” in the folder “default”." Hi guys,

I'm sorry that we didn't get back to you sooner.

Can you try reinstalling the app and see if that'll work?

Download 1Password from our web site:

    http://agilebits.com/downloads

Click on the "Download Now" button under "1Password 3"

Quit your web browser and 1Password, if it's running

Drag the newly downloaded version of 1Password to the same location as any previous one -- replacing it

Run 1Password and see if you can enter now.

If yes, please also run Help > Troubleshooting > Reset Folder Permissions as a precaution.
Your information is stored in a data file separate from the application, so it will not be harmed by this procedure.

If that didn't work, can you guys confirm if you see a green checkmark on Dropbox's icon in your Menubar? If yes, has the machine been recently migrated from another system?

I hope that helps. Please let me know.

    Thanks!
