How can we downgrade?

I have Snow Leapord..I haven't upgraded to Lion yet. But I find the 1password 3 not usable for me, mostly because of the http authentication issue.

I'd like to downgrade but would like specific instructions of how to do so, so as not to screw up my existing data. Also, do I need to downgrade Firefox and Safari as well? What are the latest versions of those browsers that will work for the previous install of 1Password.

Thanks

    Hi MLars,

I'm sorry that you do not find the new extension useful, we're working on a solution for the http authentication issue but I do not have a timeframe on this.

We do not recommend downgrading to the early version of Safari, there are lot of security fixes in Safari 5.1 that you can be at risk if you downgrade to Safari 5.0.5.

WIth that in mind, you should be able to restore by using Time Machine to go back to the Safari 5.0.5 app.

We can't provide you with the specific guides because it is not officially supported by Apple to downgrade to Safari 5.0.5 and it is risky to do this. By providing the instructions, we'd be liable for any issues you'll experience and Apple will not help you with fixing the issues or they'll recommend to reinstall the OS X instead. If you search the forums here, you should be able to see instructions from other users or search via google.

As for the latest browser versions that works with the previous extensions, it is 5.0.5 for Safari and 5.0 for Firefox. Firefox 6 requires our new extension as well.

I hope that helps a bit.
