1Password 3.8.1 issues

I know you're getting a lot of these, but I had a bunch and couldn't find them all up here, so here goes...

* Does not hit Enter/Submit after filling in form for any site. Last version under FF5 it was "some" sites (like http://www.schwab.com). yes, weird

* Will not enter user/password information on THIS website. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> I had to add the entry manually to the database and it still won't do it.

* Click "Launch 1Password App" from Settings section of "1P" drop-down on FF6 toolbar does not launch 1Password

* Chrome: Can't get it working at all. Installed extension, wound up with Beta. Tried to install fresh, said it was a downgrade. REmoved old one, installed new one (from Password app, clicking Install Extensions in Preferences)

What on earth did the Mozilla Gang do with FF5 and FF6 that messed you guys up so much?

Good luck and godspeed!

    Hi hmahaffey,

    Welcome to the forums! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Can you please make sure that in the extension settings (gear icon tab towards the bottom) "automatically submit logins" is checked?

For logins that do not work at all, please try saving the login manually like this:

    1. Enter your username and password, but DO NOT submit the form.

    2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and select the "+" button in the upper right hand corner.

    3. Change the title and make any notes (if desired).

    4. Click the Save button in the upper right hand corner.

We're aware of the issue with the Launch 1Password App link and are working on a fix.

In Chrome, do you get the 1P icon in your toolbar?

Mozilla recently switched to a 6 week development cycle, meaning they will be releasing a new version every 6 weeks. Now this may sound like a long time, but it isn't when you consider we need to 1) find any problems the new release creates 2) confirm they are actually problems (reproduce them on multiple computers) 3) track down where in our code we need to work around the problem and 4) write code that fixes the problem and doesn't cause any other problems. All while dealing with all the other things we deal with as well. Basically it puts us on a very tight time frame and gives us very little time to beta test, either internally or externally.

    *> It is.

    2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and select the "+" button in the upper right hand corner.

*> I do and it goes away. No further dialog. The site i'm adding is this one, by the way <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    3. Change the title and make any notes (if desired).

    *> Yay!

In Chrome, do you get the 1P icon in your toolbar?

*> No. And Command+\ does nothing.

*> Yeah, I hear ya and sympathize. You need to figure out a way to externalize as much as possible so only the smallest bits are bound up in their changing interface. Not entirely sure I'm crazy about a new FF major version every 6 weeks. "Fast" is not the same as "Agile". <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Thanks!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. It sounds like you may not have the latest versions of the extensions installed. Please launch 1Password and select 1Password > Install Browser Extensions from the menu bar. Click the extensions for Firefox and Chrome.

Hope that helps and shows some improvement. Manual save in Firefox 6 is one which is being fixed, so depending on when you read this message, the latest extension should fix it. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

The problems seem to be resolved now that I'm on the 3.8.2beta. No more slow down issues. I can once again create new entries!

Command+\ still makes me choose from the list even when there is only a single item on it, and on some sites it still doesn't press Enter or the Submit action.

    Thanks!
