1P Browser Extension Menu Question
I recently convinced a friend to buy 1Password and helped him install it, set it up, and begin using it. We are both running Snow Leopard (10.6.8 ) and have the latest update of 1Password installed (3.8.1). When I click on the 1P icon in the browser using Safari, I get a pulldown menu with words. When he does the same, he gets an pulldown menu with Icons. I cannot find any settings that control this. See screenshots from the two computers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
Looks to me like your Safari extension is old, this happened to me as I updated to the latest 1Password but didn't notice it was still running and older extension.
As your friend installed from scratch it would install the latest extension with the initial installation.
If you go to Safari Preferences, then to Extensions, is the version 3.7 (latest non Beta) or earlier, if earlier, I found the easiest way was go to the download link and then use that to update to the newest version

Otherwise, if your version is 3.7 already, then I guess Agile will reply with a fix

Hello todd4720,
It appears that you are running Safari 5.0 and your friend is using Safari 5.1
1Password uses different browser extension for integrating with each of those Safari versions.
Safari 5.0 uses ScriptingAdditions, which allowed us to use drop down menus like you have. Safari 5.1 introduced JavaScript (JSE), and we were forced to redesign the UI into the popover box that your friend sees. If you upgrade to Safari 5.1, 1Password will install the new JavaScript extension, and you will see the same popover window as your friend.
If you would like to learn more about the differences between the 5.0 & 5.1 extensions, please take a look at Jeff Goldberg's blog post on the subject: JavaScript grows up and plays in a sandbox
Cheers!
