Manual completion

Is there a way to manually select a login and fill-in fields from the browser interface? This is something I miss in 1Password - useful when the URL is not recognized or when the site uses odd pop-up login windows.

  • Tx, Stefan. I've been doing more or less this. But why is this not available from the browser interface? It would help a lot! Also, I'd love to have the main window and the browser window unlocked in sync. It's silly that I unlock 1Password in the browser, then I open the main window and I have to type the master password again!

Barros, I'm afraid Stefan would have to explain the technicalities, but sites like that pose a problem for the fill method used by 1Password.

Auto-type overcomes that problem but can do so only from within the 1Password program.

A side benefit is that you can use auto-type in lots of other situations, like filling forms in applications other than your web browser, which I find very useful.

Thanks for the request, though. I can tell that, if it's possible to do what you ask, Stefan eventually will find a way.
